The HSE’s guidelines state that all tight-fitting respiratory protective equipment must be face fit tested on an individual to ensure that the mask fits the wearer’s face and avoids any leakage. This kit can be a cost-effective way to correctly assess a face mask’s suitability. Included in the kit is a bitter solution which should not be tasted by the wearer if the mask fits correctly. The bitter version is ideal for those who are unable to detect saccharin in the sweet face fit testing kit.

• Qualitative face fit testing kit with a bitter solution
• Contains sensitivity and fit test solutions of denatonium benzoate
• Kit also contains hood, collar, two nebulisers and laminated instructions
• Can fit test approximately 150 employees
• Simply spray the solution into the hood; if the wearer cannot detect the taste, an acceptable fit has been achieved
• A sweet kit is also available separately, but a small section of the population is unable to detect saccharin, in which case the bitter test must be used
